Research On The Catastrophic Insurance Risk Securitization In China

China is one of the most serious countries that suffer from catastrophic losses. Every year the enormous losses caused by earthquake, flood, typhoon and rainstorm seriously influence people's daily life and economic development. It's very meaningful to compensate the catastrophic losses and ensure the catastrophic risk by all means.Catastrophic insurance risk securitization is an insurance financial innovation of catastrophic risk-spreading. Based on Chinese practical situation, this paper uses the practice in developed countries for reference, analyzes the necessity of developing catastrophic insurance risk securitization from the viewpoint of compensation policy, insurers and investors.
