College Student Raise And Career Guidance Research With Data Mining

With the driving of modern technology, the management of educational administration and employment is progressing towards the direction of standardization, communication and network. Along with application of management information system, we are getting more and more data in the database and there is much significant information hiding behind these data. But Data mining can get the information that we need from them.Data mining picks up the practical issue with effective mode, finds the hiding rule from the abundant data, analyses and gets useful knowledge, serves for the decision-making.This paper takes the historical data of management information system as study object, tries to find intrinsic factor in the result, class choosing, employment by school register, result, class choosing, employment data.By using the commercial intellective software "SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services" which is provided by "SQL Server 2005", does the data mining and analysis.By data mining, it finds following three aspects conclusion:(l)the curriculum has the dependent and the similar relations; learning practical curriculum affects learning theory curriculum, and academic result depends highly on study manner; (2) class choosing record reflects speciality similarities and differences also displays class choosing tendency; (3)factors which affect student getting employed are: Employment unit category, Employment unit area, employment unit province, employment unit city category, student specialty and student native place.Because of the abundant data in this research, it is too difficult to do full analysis on the student result, class choosing therefore only selects the Southwest Jiaotong University economy management institute student as analysis object.
