Research On Regional Economic Integration With Ethnic Entity And Construction Of Big Economic Circle In The Western Region

The traditional pattern of economic growth needs change in the western region in order to bring about prosperous western regional economy, heighten western regional competitive power, and narrow the gap between the eastern and western region when global economic integration is promoting, national market is unifying and economy is restructuring. Then, this thesis combines the commonly law of region development with the specific characteristic of the western region where people of ethnic groups live in compact communities, assimilates the results of relevant research both at home and abroad, applies the theory of regional economic integration, brings forth a new idea of regional economic integration with ethnic entity and construction of big economic circle in the western region, and demonstrates necessity of the idea from different angles of both nationwide regional coordinated growth and self-development in the western region for the sake of make an exploratory attempt on a new pattern of economic growth.This thesis' thread is regional economic integration with ethnic entity and construction of big economic circle so that this thesis analyses the present difficulties of the western region from four aspects including factor market integration, industrial cluster development, region city-towns' system development and institution innovation by the theory of regional economic integration and neo-institution economics. Aimed at those difficulties, some countermeasures need to take through the above four aspects. In those countermeasures, the accented terms consist of institution reform at province level, leading industries selection, supporting industries development, ethnic economic development, towns' construction, and infrastructure construction.This thesis has the following prominent characteristics. Firstly, this thesis researches the actual situation of ethnic and regional economy in the western region. Secondly, this thesis brings ethnic economic development into line with the regional economic development that is necessary for national unity, political stability, economic development, and social progress. Thirdly, this thesis uses the results of relevant research for reference among regional economics, development economics, neo-institution economics, industrial economics, city economics, and national economics. Meanwhile, it analyses qualitatively, standardized, and combines theory with practice. This thesis points out that regional economic integration with ethnic entity and construction of big economic circle is certainly to heighten western regional competitive power and narrow the gap between the eastern and western region, and reveals that regional economic integration with ethnic entity and construction of big economic circle in the western region is a long-term complicated project which needs steady improvement in different quarters.This thesis enriches the contents on research of national economics, opens up new horizons for regional economics, and deepens the crisscross research on both regional and national economics. Meanwhile, this thesis brings out a new mentality for the whole western ethnic region, helps various government departments make policies in terms of theory, and makes advantageous to the development of the western region.
