A Study On The Development Of Personal Banking Business Of China's Commercial Banks

With the popularization of the network technology, the loosening of the global financial control, and the speedup of the step of financial globalization . Personal banking business has become a significant part of the western commercial banks' business. Looking through the developing history of those banks, the innovation of the personal banking business has greatly improved their competitive power. While the running of such business will directly influence those banks' turnout and their living space.The development of personal banking business will play an important role in China' s economy. On one hand, it meets the demands of residents for managing their personal financial assets scientifically. On the other hand, it is also an important act for domestic banks' needs to meet for international competitions and improve their competitive power .Through analyzing the types, current condition, realistic background and its great importance of both foreign and domestic personal banking business, this paper intends to point out that the development of personal banking business is restricted by business products in extent, depth and size levels. Such gaps are made by many factors. Firstly, it's closely related to commercial banks' management strategies, as the banking system lacks for enough drive for personal banking business; Secondly, the customer's degree of acception, the imperfection of the outer social environment and the unsoundness of the personal credit system & etc. also seriously hamper the development of commercial banks' personal banking business.Based on the above, this paper intends to investigate some new trends and characteristics existing in the domestic development of this business. These new trends and characteristics may be conducive to gel; rid of the old patterns, upgrade the personal banking business and promote the establishment and maturity of the personal banking market.On the basis of deep analysis about the existing problems and their reason for the present development of China's personal banking business, overall considering foreign experience and relative domestic financial policy, this paper will design a business system and developing pattern suitable for China's own personal banking business.
