Developing Institutional Investors In Chinese Stock Market

At present, institutional investors have already become the core force of the stock market in developed country and have played a positive role in improving the listed company management, optimizing resource distribution etc.. Compared with foreign countries, the development level of the Chinese institutional investors is still relatively low. In recent years, our government begins to develop institutional investor, in order to make Chinese stock market give further play to his function. Now, studying this problem has a realistic meaning.Firstly, this papers has discussed the meaning of Chinese institutional investor development, and introduce the covering theories. Secondly, it reviewed the development course of institutional investor in U.S.A. , Japan and Britain, summarizing some enlightenment for our country to draw lessons from it. Thirdly, this papers described the Chinese institutional investors' overall development with the policy changes and the main institutional investor's force development such as fund company, analyzing the existing questions and reasons of those questions in the Chinese institutional investors development, and sum up two new trends in this trade. In the last part, it suggest three measurement should be taken to develop the Chinese institutional investors: changing our thought, improving the development environment and improving institutional investor's ability, and point out supervision and development aren't conflicted.
