The Research On Leisure From The Perspective Of The Economics

Leisure has existed since ancient times. As a major theme in modern society, the leisure is different from its former significance and characteristic, and its value promotes unceasingly. So it is becoming the important constituent of the human life gradually. The truth of social development indicates that various manufactures and service related to leisure is important for the prosperity of economy. In view of it, to strengthen the theoretic research on this subject, especially from the perspective of the economics, has important theoretical and practical significance.Firstly, the paper infers that leisure is a kind of consumption activity, that is, leisure consumption, from the concept of leisure. At the same time, the paper explains some other concepts concerned with leisure. Then, the paper focus on the examination of leisure economy which is a new economic pattern stemming from the leisure consumption activities. Next, the article analyses the causes of the forming of leisure economic and summarizes the important functions of leisure economy to social economy development by inspecting the condition of leisure industry in developed countries. At last, the paper switches to the research on the leisure industry development of China. Along with rapid economic development, inhabitant's leisure time and disposable income increase generally, promoting the grown-up of the leisure industry in our country. However, owing to various constraints, our country leisure industry also has many problems, showing a non-equilibrium state. Therefore, it requires the participation of the government and enterprises to promote the development of the leisure industry. On the basis of the predecessor studies, the paper puts forwards some points of views, to do some contributions to China's leisure industry development.
