From July 21st, 2005, based on market supply and demand, and referred to a basket of currency, China began to carry on floating exchange rate system with regulating and controlling. From then, RMB exchange rate no longer kept a close watch on only U.S. dollar, and exchange rate mechanism became more flexible. Hereafter, Central Bank issued a series of relevant policies successively to further advance the reform of RMB exchange rate system. However, for the exchange rate system implemented in 1994, the RMB exchange rate basically pegged to U.S. dollar, which made commercial banks negligent of the risk management for a long time. As a result, commercial banks can't meet the needs of new exchange rate mechanism in the aspects of risk management, such as mechanism, way, personnel and products innovation, and there is a greater disparity. So the reform of exchange rate put forward high requirements for China commercial banks in the aspects of business and risk management. This thesis tries to begin with current situation of risk management of China commercial banks and the disparity with the western developed country, refer to relevant theory of bank risk management, then study all sort of impacts of this exchange rate system reform to commercial banks on business and risk management in the future, and based on this, put forward corresponding countermeasure and suggestion.
