The Research About The Efficiency Of China's Banking Regulation

People's attention is now focused on the efficiency of the banking regulation,which is the important part of a country's financial supervision. According to the open promises after China attended the WTO,China should cancel the limitation on regions,customers and so on in five years and admit foreign banks into Chinese market. In the case,the internal banks will meet the intense competition with the foreign banks.In the 6th 2004,New Basel Agreement was issued by the Basel Committee after 5-year widely soliciting opinions and revision.The agreement reflects the consistent thoughts and principles of the Basel Committee,that is.the international banking regulation should be continuously strengthened and improved.As the member of the Basel Committee, our banks must receive and observe the rules of the international banks.Therefore,in order to meet the international practice as well as enhancing the ability of the competition of the internal banks,we have taken up with reform and improved the efficiency of the banking regulation resently. Although we have made great achievement many disadvantages that lie in the contents,measures,policies and the practice of the banking regulation restrain the efficiency and the effect because of its beginning lately.How can we follow the request of the New Basel Agreement, Our department of banking regulation must sum up the questions that affect the efficiency of the regulation.This is the key question that will be discussed in the article.Firstly,from the banking regulation and the efficiency of it,the general developing situation of the bank,the micro-foundation and the definition of the efficiency of the banking regulation will be introduced as well as many evaluating targets mentioned.Secondly,the history of our country's banking regulation will be clarified by reviewing and the efficiency of our banking regulation will be analyzed.
