Vertical Specialization And Technology Transfer

From the 1970s', as a new method of the global labor division, the vertical specialization has witnessed a rapid development. With the huge differences among the regional economics development in China, and guided by multinational companies, international vertical specialization system has the significance on promoting technology transfer.After analyses on the conceptions, theories and significance of the vertical specialization, industrial clusters and technologies transfer, this dissertation studies the vertical specialization through a game model analyses on the vertical technologies transfers decisions and operation by multinational companies at first, which promoting technology transfer and regional industry development in host/developing countries. This dissertation has studied inter-mechanism between the vertical specialization and technology transfer, also the means of participation into global labor division for developing countries. Based on those, the outline of mechanism of the vertical specialization promoting technology transfer has been provided: vertical s technologies transfers operated by MNCs'promotes formation and development of regional industrial clusters, while sole enterprises'endeavor in industry upgrade and evolution of industrial clusters'technologies as a whole, all provide possibility of regional industrial technologies upgrade. At last, this dissertation give suggestions of perspective in Suzhou'technology transfer lying on the present situation of processing trade in Suzhou.
