The Research On Wenzhou FDI Based On Location Factors

The author expounded on the mainstream theory of FDI and its development path. Compared the traditional FDI location theory and the current FDI location theory. Integration of theory. The author think the key location factors to attract FDI can be summarized into two categories. One for the hardware resource endowments and other location factors, including natural resources and labor resources, infrastructure, traffic conditions and other factors. The other for the soft factors, such as the host of industrial clustering, the policy environment, the level of market and other factors. The two categories factors are plays an important role in regional policy to attract FDI. The current FDI location theory come to the conclusion that the soft factors became increasingly important location factors. According to theory of FDI. the author researched the status of Wenzhou to attract FDI in the past years. The conclusion was : In 1984-2002, Wenzhou area has been slow development to attract FDI, for the Reasons was all of location factors are at a disadvantage . After 2003 . the soft factors play obvious advantages. Remedied for the lack of the hardware resource endowments .and maked Wenzhou situation improved significantly in attracting FDI. According to my research . I think the Wenzhou area have an Advantages and shortcomings in attracting FDI. On this basis, Writer Gives the policy proposals to improve the Wenzhou conditions to attract FDI And gives the specific policy proposals which are more workable.
