Research On Overall-Budget Management Mode And Decision Support System Based On ERP

With the development of economic theory, overall budget management has been a very important managerial method for various kind of industry. The content of budget gradually involves enterprise's production flow, capital flow, information flow and human resource flow. Because the technologies of budget edit, control and evaluation become more complicated. The traditional budget method can't satisfy the real demand of enterprises budget management any more without information system's support. This article merged the think of enterprise resource planning (ERP) into budget management process, in order to deal with difficulties in budget implement and improve the efficiency of budget edit and control.First, it introduces the theory of budget management and analyses the shortcoming and weaknesses of the traditional budget method. Second, it analyses and researches the principle of ERP and overall budget management emerging, proposes the overall budget management mode based on ERP. Third, it establishes several budget modules to improve the scientific of budget edit and control. Then, overall budget management information and decision support system are discussed in detail theoretically and practically. It also gives the evaluation as well as some conceptions to extend functions of the system. In the end, it illustrates application step, method and essentials of overall budget management system through the empirical case of an petroleum enterprises.
