Study Of Logistics Management Information System

With the increasing advancement of the science and technology and especially the extensive application of the information technology the fierce competitions among companies let the managers pay more attentions to management level of the logistics corporations. It is the fast developing networks technology that makes the information resources treated, exchanged and shared without the patio-temporal restriction. The logistics information system takes a more and more importance.The Logistics Information Management System that this thesis has studied is a system that aims at function logistics corporations of the completing inquiry modification and comprehensive statistics of the logistics information. Its design goal is that can really realize the real-time, interactive management way, meeting the need of e-management, in order to improve working efficiency and mechanic degree, economize the time and cost of the logistics management.Taking the Logistics Information management of the logistics corporation as our study object, and based on the consideration of current actuality of Information management, a proposal of designing management System on distributed Internet/Intranet is put forward, which can improve system expandability and reusability. Then a structure of the distributed database and a model of the whole system is described. Finally , some proposal for system optimization is also presented.We also discussed the management of the project, we analysis the whole plan and each key point, even the possible solution. A successful example is the COSCON's logistics management information system - IRISii, we learn more from it.
