A Study On The Industry Standardization, The Yardstick Competition Theories And The Progress Of The Natural Monopoly Industry

Since 90'of the twentieth century, many countries conduct regulatory reformation and restructuring in the electricity power industry aiming at adopting market and competitive mechanism.Following with Chinese economy's prompt development and integrating with the world economy, the appearance of the tide brings Chinese power industry not only opportunity but challenge.This article generalizes and summarizes the status of our electricity power industry and the characteristic of its products. Then analyze its differences from other ordinary competition products.Based on the Standardization and the Yardstick Competition theories, this article's study purpose is to create a kind of pattern to reform the traditional regulation mechanism to improve the efficiency of our electricity power industry.
