The Study Of Using WebGIS In Land Resource Information Management System

In recent years, with the development of the computer's hardware and software and the advance and the prevalence of the network, people cannot satisfy with the pure traditional products of GIS (geographic information system), and develop the products towards the combination of GIS and the network, which motivate the development and popularity of the WebGIS. This paper relying on the Project of the Land Resources Information Management of Datong City applies the WebGIS technology into the development of the Land Resources Information Management System of Datong City, and on this platform studies the architecture of WebGIS as well as its application technology.First, this paper discusses the current development situation, framework system and the development technology of the Land Resources Information Management and WebGIS both abroad and in China; then applies MapXtreme to construct the WebGIS based on Land Resources Information Management System of Datong City, and discusses the technical problems of data collection, organization, storage, and transportation etc. when MapXtreme applies into the Land Resources Information Management System; and on this basis, this paper applies GML + SVG to improve the WebGIS based on Land Resources Information Management System of Datong City. Finally this paper compares the advantages and the disadvantages of MapXtreme and GML + SVG's application into WebGIS based on Land Resources Information Management System respectively.
