The Research On Product-Structure Optimization Of Lianyuan Steel Group Co., Ltd

The main existing problems of the China steel industry lies not in the volume, but in the categories and quality of the steel, especially in the unreasonable product structure. In the background of improving the product structure of the China steel industry, this article analyzed how Lianyuan Steel may achieve the maximum profit and maintainable development through the optimization of product structure.On the basis of analyzing the current status of both domestic and foreign steel enterprises and their product structure adjustment. In this article, it is discussed how Lianyuan Steel Group Co., Ltd. ("Liangang"in short) should strategically optimize its product structure which will match Liangang's current conditions. The article proposed scientific and reasonable decision-making suggestions to Liangang's industry upgrade and maintainable development. The article explained its investigation from four aspects:1.Analyzed the current situation of domestic and foreign steel enterprises and pointed out the problems. It concluded the necessity and urgency of improving the product structure in the domestic steel enterprises;2.Analyzed the Liangang's product structure by using Boston Matrix, and drew out the suggestions on Liangang's product structure improvement and the principles which should be stuck to;3.Made feasibility study on the optimization of product structure from 3 aspects i.e. economic benefit, technical support and maintainable development. It proved that the optimization of product structure was feasible and drew out the strategic outline.This article merged the theories of enterprise management and research into the research process of Liangang's product structure optimization. Its analysis result can be used for reference and instruction not only in building high quality sheet production base but also in the optimization of product structure in other domestic steel enterprises.
