In the knowledge-based economy ages, with the developments of the economic globalization, the trade liberalism and the information networks, the customer needs are very changeable, the speed of the technique innovation is accelerated continuously, the product life cycle is also shortened continuously, and therefore the market competition is gradually violent. The enterprise management faces more and more challenges and impacts in this situation. Successful management becomes the important condition to grow up and manage continuously for the enterprise. A performance evaluation system of the enterprise must be established to meet the development of the enterprise, and promote its employee's accomplishment. Be aimed at the characteristics of employee's performance evaluation and the existent problems in the mature enterprises, the author puts forward an artificial neural network technology for performance evaluation system.BP algorithm of artificial neural network technology has been used in the enterprise staff performance evaluation. By means of the neural net toolbox trained by the sample data, the staff performance evaluation net has been built in MATLAB. And then by learning the imported sample data, the function approximation of the staff performance evaluation can be obtained. For the development of the enterprise information technology, the author has developed a workable and visual interface to export the evaluation assessment and permit to use ERP basic data at the same time. The main contents worked by the author are as follows:1. The author has analyzed the development of the information technology, and the important position of the performance evaluation in the enterprise development. By means of artificial neural network technology, the performance evaluation system in mature enterprises is put forward. Be aimed at the characteristics and problems in mature enterprises, the performance evaluation methods used in different enterprises have been studied and the characteristics of the performance evaluation in different developing stages also analyzed.2. The principles and applications of the artificial neural networks technology have been expounded. For the characteristics of the self-adaptability, self-education, self-organization and the infinite approach of the nonlinear function, the possibility and effectiveness of ANN application in the mature enterprise staff performance evaluation system have been analyzed.
