Study On Impact Of Infrastructure Investment To Jiangsu's Economic Growth

Since the reforms and opening, Jiangsu acquires huge achievement in economic construction, and has been one of the fastest developing provinces in China. In this period, infrastructure investment plays an important role; however, there are still some practical problems. Therefore, it is necessary to go further study on the subject of infrastructure investment, especially the effect on Jiangsu's economy.The essay firstly introduces basic theories of infrastructure and infrastructure's operation mode, function that infrastructure investment promotes economic growth; then analyses actual condition and problem about infrastructure investment in Jiangsu; finally, quantitative analysis is about function that infrastructure investment drives economy to increase in Jiangsu.Basing on effective research, combining with existing research results, the conclutions are as follow:In the aspect of level of infrastructure investment, Jiangsu's infrastructure is improved greatly, the scale of investment extends largely, and average speed is faster than fixed assets investment's, as percentage of all social fixed investment continuously rises; comparing with other typical provinces, Jiangsu's infrastructure is in the leading position, but lags behind some developed even developing countries, isn't still able to satisfied the demand of ecomomic development. In the aspect of infrastructure structure, being seen from region structure, the gathering degree of infrastructure investment in southern region is higher than it in middle, northern region, and the difference of grade has trend to enlarge. Seen from internal structure, economic infrastructure's proportion is large, and social infrastructure is insufficient.By the constructed C-D function, we calculate the output flexibility of infrastructure investment. The result proves that infrastructure capital has a positive effect on Jiangsu's economic growth.Finally, in view of these existing problems from angles of infrastructure investment and management, gives some suggestions in case of further development.
