More and more foreign enterprises are entering our country as China further expands its opening-up to the outside world. Although foreign enterprises have greatly promoted our economic development, there also exist some negative aspects. One problem widely concerned is the labor-management conflicts . This thesis explores the logic behind labors' actions and the social factors restricting labors' actions with related sociological theories. And the thesis will focus on the following three questions: How do labor- management conflicts go along? What action strategies do labors adopt during conflicts? What are the factors restricting labors' actions? This thesis is mainly based on three theories. The first is the conflict theory, which emphasizes the eternity of conflicts because of limited resource, power and prestige in the world. The second is the rational choice theory, which argues that people always do their best to obtain interests with the given aims, resources and environmental conditions. The last is the game theory, according to which the acting labors also take the actions of other labors into consideration.Upon many in-depth interviews, the thesis reveals that labors will choose various action strategies in conflicts, which are largely based on the rational choices of the labors themselves, but also subjected to the restrictions of the social environment: lack of channels for labors to express themselves, capital-orienting policies, unsound laws and pressures from the outside labor markets.
