The exploitation of mineral resources caused the environment problem.In the series problem, the breakage of the land in mining area is most directly serious.This text make use of the remote sensing picture, built up the resources information system of the mining area in base of the spatial-temporal database.This text take shennan's district as the research object, combine RS and the GIS techniques. research contents is as follows:Firstly, study the existing spatial-temporal data model and analyze spatial-temporal characteristic in mining area, put forward the layering spatial-temporal data model.Secondly, take having sources and different times remote-sensing picture as the data source, In building up classification system of the land in mining area, get the land resources information and variety information.Lastly, integrate various history and realistic data in mining area to built up the spatial-temporal database, realize the mineral area resources and the management of the surroundings, and make use of the GIS space analyse function to extract the resources information of the mineral area land.
