The Production planning and scheduling system directly affects the efficiency and cost of enterprise. With the development of MaGang, the supply of the company falls short of demands, and the production capability can not meet the demands of the market. The diversification of the custom demands and the levity of the market make the company to improve the productivity and decrease the cost. The production scheduling system is also put forward higher request. So a simpler, more applicable, more effective and more reliable production optimization system is needed.This paper discussed the importance of shop production scheduling and the existent problems in this domain are analyzed; The basic theories about shop scheduling are studied; The basic theories of genetic algorithms, including its basic concepts, operation, and flow chart etc, are studied. An improved genetic algorithm was proposed in job shop scheduling problem, and experiments on job shop benchmarks show that this improved algorithm has good performance. On the basis of widely investigation of the operation situation of MaGang, this paper analyses the status and problems existed in MaGang's tyre production planning, Finally, designs and implements the production planning and scheduling system.
