Study Of The RHB Strategy On Rural Tourism Development

China is an agricultural country, with its main landscape being countryside.Recently, rural tourism in China has become a distinctive theme of the mid-and long-term development of China's, this results in many research interests in rural tourism. Under the complicated circumstances of rich resources and poor economic development, strong wishes of local people to develop tourism and lack of professional skills, rural tourism in China has developed greatly even though many problems exist. Therefore, it is urgent to study the strategic development of rural tourism. It is imperative that the research should be done on the overall development of resources, humanity, benefits, and especially the coordination of these three elements among which the human development should be the focal point.This thesis introduces new theories both at home and abroad on the basis of research objectives and significance. This thesis at first presents the concept, characteristics, driving factors of rural tourism, summarizes the achievements of previous fieldwork about rural tourism development ,and points out the problems of existing in rural tourism.Secondly, this thesis proposes the resource-human-benefit (RHB) strategy to develop rural tourism. This thesis analyzes tourism resources, local people participation, and benefits from the aspects of ecology, society, and economics. It emphasizes the analysis of humanity, for almost all policies of China are about the all round development of humanity. The idea of the focusing on humanity is deeply rooted in people's heart.Thirdly, by using qualitative analysis, resource science, tourism economics, tourism marketing and tourism planning ,this thesis probes how to apply the RHB theory into practice and applies it into studying the rural tourism of Huangpi district, Wuhan city. The characteristics and coherence of every element is analyzed. RHB strategy can promote the development of human and economy and realize the benefits of society, ecology, and economy simultaneously.At last, conclusion and outlook are given so as to expect the practical meaning of rural tourism development and guide the practice of rural tourism development.
