Economic interaction means that dissimilar nations (or regions) develop various economic cooperation by making use of the actual and latent relationship of interdependence for developing open economy, and promotion of interdependence through cooperation.The leaders of China and all countries of ASEAN signed" the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation between China and ASEAN "in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in November, 2002. The agreement has already come into force on January 1, 2003. According to the agreement, the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) will be established in 2010.Building and developing CAFTA provides a vast foreground to develop economy and trade for Guangxi and ASEAN. Therefore, there is a strong impetus to find new ways for Guangxi and the countries of ASEAN to develop their advantages and select suitable methods according to their current conditions to form economic interaction.After analyzing the conditions of economic interaction between Guangxi and the countries of ASEAN, this essay places more emphasis on inquiring into the main ways that Guangxi and the countries of ASEAN realize the economic interaction and the main realms in which these methods are used. Finally, suggestions for policy change are put forth.This essay considers that because of the premises, beneficial conditions and propulsion of economic interaction existing between Guangxi and ASEAN, Guangxi and ASEAN can strengthen regional economic cooperation, promote mutual economic development through trade, cooperation of economy and technology and so on. Agriculture, exploitation of mineral resources and energy, manufacturing industry and tourism are the main realms of economic interaction. The government and enterprises of Guangxi should adopt reasonable policies and measures for economic interaction.
