Research On Theory And Model Of Advancing Industrial Agglomeration In Jilin Province

Industrial agglomeration is an economy advancing system, which can bring prominent increase in economic benefit and is the inner potency for promoting regional economic development. As one of the old industrial base in northeast China, Jilin province is going through its renovation and conformity between the old and new industries. In order to proceed to act as the national industrial base, it has to obey the rules of developing industries in the context of globalization. It is necessary to promote and strengthen industrial agglomeration with a view to enhance the entire competitiveness of the regional economy. This article focuses on the status quo of industrial agglomeration in Jilin Province and put forward location model for promoting regional economic development in Jilin Province based on the existing problems.First of all, this article gives a brief introduction of the connotation of industrial agglomeration, and provides analysis on dynamic developing models of our national industrial agglomeration. It is pointed out that three models now exist in our nation, namely, planned industrial agglomeration, government-supported industrial agglomeration and market-dominated industrial agglomeration. The models are analyzed in different phases of establishing industrial clusters through theory of industrialization and centralization. The status quo of industrial agglomeration in Jilin Province is analyzed and problems in industrial agglomeration are pointed out in both macro and micro aspects. Based on location theory, coupling mechanism and regional economic development, it is put forward that we should make the central part of Jilin Province (according to the partition of economic region) as the core of development and form a network for economic development. It is suggested that the central part is made the research center, the eastern part the medication production region and the western part the compound eco-agricultural region with a recovery of environment including fine prairie ecology, stock raising and sightseeing.
