Petrochemical enterprise is high-risk industry. The devise is its material foundation. Less repair of the device for long time will cause accident and excessive repair of the device will cause high cost, so device management is a core problem to ensure safety process and lower cost.The thesis analyses current situation of local and foreign device management and MIS study. Also, it explains the basic principle and the methods to plan, analyze, develop a MIS system. Compiled with the device management theory such as device full lifetime management, condition maintenance, etc. and the device management idea such as maintenance on schedule, settling accounts in time, etc. the article finish the system plan to the device management information system, according to the demand and the need of device management department of Daqing Petrochemical Company. The system analysis and system design has completed according to practical job process, then eight modules has been designed, i.e. archives management, plan management, settling accounts management, speciality management, failure management, spare parts management, condition monitoring management, comprehensive search. On the design of physical layer, the system uses Browser/Server mode and the server consists of database server and application server, so it has three layer's network architecture. The database uses reliable relational database: Oracle 8 which has powerful ability to deal with data. At the last, the article establishes the distributed network structure, designs detailed input/output interface, compiles complete application software of the system according to practical condition.The fact shows the system is economical, useful and completely functional. Moreover, the system has reliability, security, convenience and expansibility.
