An Exploration To The Integration Of The Electrolytic Manganese Industry In China

After more than 40 years development, there has been such a great change in the production, exportation and consumption of electrolytic manganese that China became the largest country in these domain. While the electrolytic manganese industry boasts very fast, many problems appears recently, which can be even worse as the time goes by: repeated construction caused by blind investment excess capacity disheveled market structure with too many small enterprises, high pollution and energy consumption, waste of resources for mal-competition, bad order, low security protection, infirm competence in the international market. As the largest country of production, exportation and consumption, China can not decide the price of electrolytic manganese, thus definitely influence the sustained development of the industry.On the background of economic globalization, annexation and recomposition of enterprises, Aim at resolving the problems of the electrolytic manganese industry, this thesis puts forward a systematic integration to the electrolytic manganese industry in China. It also accept the concept of scientific development and the requirement to develop a harmonious society in "eleventh five years plan". Considering the long-term development of the industry, after recomposition, industry integration, we can enhance the interest and the development of the industry; After systematic integration beyond, within the industry, between the corporation, we can promote the centralization of the industry, mend the industry structure, upgrade the electrolytic manganese industry.This thesis can be divided into three parts: The first part, including Chapter One and Two, is a summarization of the thesis, bringing forward the purpose and general topic through literature review and illation. The second part, including Chapter Three, Four and five, is the body of the thesis. Chapter Three, based on the industry organizing theory, expatiates the status quo and problems of our electrolytic manganese industry by analyzing the background, market structure, marketing and the performance. Chapter Four is a further analysis of the problems encountered based on Chapter Three. There are tow aspects of these problems: exterior and interior causes. The interior causes are analyzed by game theory tools, aims to find out the fundamental reasons of these problems. The games between the central government and the local interests groups, within the local interests groups and within enterprises are analyzed profoundly. Chapter Five puts forward the strategy of integration of electrolytic manganese industry in our county and analyzes the approaches logically in three aspects(industry system, industry structure and enterprises). The last part, Chapter Six, is the conclusion. It points out that the industry integration is inevitable for electrolytic manganese industry and emphasizes two dialectic relationships in this thesis.
