As the significant links of financial system in our nation, the development of joint stock commercial banks plays a role that can hardly be ignored for strength the competition and activities of banking industry in our country.Joint stock commercial banks walk in front of the innovation of banking industry no matter in the management thoughts and methods on banks or in the creativities of banking businesses, which accelerates the overall and scientific development for financial industry in our country.With accelerations of steps of our financial industry and the publication of regulations for capital restriction from national supervision organizations, the advancement of joint stock commercial banks face both the competitive impresses outside and the restrictions of capital adequacy ratios inside, the speed of advancement getting slow and the profits for assets descending. The strategy of development and management needs to be ameliorated with emergency.Improving the status of Joint stock commercial banks has dual ways which include expand the business of banks on the one hand and optimizing the structure of capital, lower the cost of capital on the other. This article aims at analyzing and ameliorating the capital status in order to put forward suggestions for improving the profits of Joint stock commercial banks.The article that reviews the development of theory on capital structure firstly, studies the specialty of capital structure in joint stock commercial banks, and made demonstration studies for status of capital structure on joint stock commercial banks in combination of factors widely accepted to adopted in analyzing the capital structure. Furthermore, an optimization model on reliabilities is constructed from the angle of incomes and costs of capital.The model constructed reveals that realization of the optimization capital structure depends on the inner adjustments of capital and the change of the environment outside.
