The concern on credit risk of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises arises on the practical business. The flourishing development of China's economics has been accelerating the demand of credit system, and credit risk has become the focus of academia. However, academic theoretical research have not even effectively solved the increasingly serious problem of credit risk in China, especially for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises which do not have the ability to resist risks inherently. The methods on credit risk management gained by experts who throw themselves into cruel market competition by their knowledge and experiences have not been abstracted system systematically, and have not formed a general idea that is applicable for generic small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to reduce the credit risk effectively. In this paper, based on the reality of customer credit risk for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in China's market economic environment, related to asymmetric information theory and the results of previous studies, a further research on credit risk of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in domestic trade with clients has been done to discuss the idea of credit risk analysis and credit policy choices which adapts to domestic small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.The full text includes six chapters as follow. The first chapter introduces the background of topic, pointing out the importance of research. Then it reviews and summarizes the relevant literature and find out deficiencies from them. Finally it shows the research framework and methodology. The second chapter analyzes the mechanism and response principles of credit risk on the basis of the theory of asymmetric information. The third chapter theoretically describes and analyzes the actual status of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises as well as the problems of credit risk in domestic trade with clients by questionnaires and field survey to put forward more realistic ideas about credit risk assessment of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in domestic trade with clients. The fourth chapter doses empirical research on non-financial factors of credit risk from small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in domestic trade with clients, according to the conclusions of the preceding chapters. The fifth chapter gives inspires for practical work elicited by this research. The sixth chapter summarized the conclusions of the thesis as well as the deficiencies.Based on the theoretical analysis, the thesis uses combination of questionnaires and field survey to analyze the credit risk for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises systematically. It also analyzes non-financial factors of credit risk from small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in domestic trade with clients by empirical research, and elicits the general ideas of analyzing and controlling the credit risk from small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in domestic trade with clients.
