Study On The Reasons Of Sino-America Trade Unbalance And Its Countermeasures

Great changes have taken place in trade since 1990's due to many factors. These changes mainly embody the phenomenon that there is increasing unbalance in Sino-America trade,that is the adverse balance of trade from America to China increases constantly. With the rapid development of China economy, the decreasing economy position of America in the international market and the strengthening problems in the unbalance of Sino-America trade, America promulgated many policies and means on trade to China in order to protect their economy, which has certain effects on the normal development of Sino-America trade. This thesis analyzes the reasons of unbalance of Sino-America trade and the trade interests of the two parties from the backgrounds of the international industry transform, taking the data on Sino-America trade in 30 years and the relative data in economy. The thesis finds the fact that America has made the traditional industry to be transferred to China smoothly in the form of improvement trade through the means of direct investment to foreign countries and trade in the same industry. This is bilateral trade and Win-Win trade, which conform to both the principle of international division of labor and two parts economy interests. The economy development and industry upgrading in America inevitably result in the unbalance of Sino-American trade. Though America has long adverse balance of trade, there are many favorable economy phenomena, such as the declining ratio of unemployment, steady economy growth, etc. America has got far greater benefits than China from Sino-America trade. Therefore, we can't judge the interests of the two parties from the data of the adverse balance of trade. Instead, we should analyze the two parties'interests from the aspects of the economy growth, trade terms, the price of goods and unemployment ratio. The governments in the two countries should rationally treat the unbalance of Sino-America trade and they have the responsibility to maintain the healthy development of Sino-America trade. In the meantime, we shouldn't ignore many unfavorable factors in the Sino-America trade, such as the deteriorate trade terms, severe resources waste, the higher degree of dependence on foreign trade, etc. In order to change fundamentally the China's bottom position in the international division of labor, our government and the enterprises must make adjustments in the relative industry to promote the constant and healthy development of Sino-America trade.
