Rural tourism developed in the west countries in 1950's, but appeared in China in the end of 20 century. For the traditional agriculture and history of China, rural tourism develops rapidly as the main drive-force of inbound tourism. Also as the important path of poverty-off through tourism, rural tourism has effect on economic development and poverty-off of rural. For these reason, not the focus of government and relative department, it also attract the attention of academician. But for many limits, the theory of rural tourism is not very adaptive of the practice. Especially in China, blindfold development and overlap construction block the development of sustainable rural tourism. Based on the status of the theory and practice of rural tourism, this article discusses the evaluation of rural tourism resources. For the significance of both the theory and practice, the research will be beneficial to the perfect of theory system; also it could be helpful of the practice of rural tourism.Based on the review of rural tourism and relative theory, this article designs the model for evaluating the rural tourism resources applying rural sociology, experience economy and rural landscape. Also this article brings forward 111 evaluating indicators which involved in resources, location, establishment and environment employing the expert-inquiry and main-factor analysis method. This article adopts the quantitative method mostly, and the qualitative analysis is secondary. So this research is scientific, impersonal and easy- manipulative. In the end, this research investigates Dalishu Beauty Spot, and evaluates the rural tourism resources there. This investigation validates the evaluating model and confirms the level of the resource in this scenic spot. Based on the conclusion, this research suggests the developing orientation of Dalishu Beauty Spot, including maintenances rurality, attaches the community to tourism industry, designs experiencing products and consummates the entertainment infrastructure.
