A Study On Problems And Countermeasures Of Urban Traffic Sustainable Development In Huangshi City

With the reform and open to the outside world,national economy of China developed quickly, urbanization process sped up,motorization level enhanced largely,the distance of people outgoing was becoming farther and farther,the urban construction had made brilliant achievement.However,along with the further development of social economy,the demand to urban transportation for people outgoing and the amount of motor vehicle owned increase faster than the supply of transportation facilities,traffic problems such as transportation congestion,the environmental pollution and so on have become more and more serious. How to complete urban transportation sustainable development has already been the concerning focus of the public.Firstly, the content, essential factors and goals of urban transportation sustainable development are elaborated in this thesis, the support system of urban transportation sustainable development is proposed. Secondly, the developing process of urban transportation of China is reviewed, and the common problems and challenges that sustainable development of urban transportation is facing are discussed. Thirdly, the road system, transportation system and the management system of the urban traffic in Huangshi city are analyzed fully. Then the urban traffic problems in Huangshi city are pointed out, including the urban transportation environmental pollution, the lack of infrastructure construction , the weak attraction of the public transportation , the low level of the technology and management. And the barrier factors to restricting urban transportation sustainable development in Huangshi city are discussed, that are lacking the whole guiding ideology of urban sustainable development,the unreasonable transportation structure, lack of the public transportation policy ,developing slowly of the humanized transportation management and the intelligent transportation system. Finally according to urban development situation in Huangshi city, under the frame of urban transportation sustainable development support system, the countermeasure and suggestions are put forward, it follows that: strengthening the urban transportation management, optimizing the urban transportation structure,planning the reasonable transportation facilities and promoting urban transportation safe education propaganda and so on.
