Since China's adoption of the Reform and Open Door Policy, particularly since China's entry into the WTO, the economic exchange between China and other countries in the world has been growing by leaps and bounds and the number of joint ventures has increased rapidly. China. Cultural conflict will be inevitable in the management of Sino-foreign Joint Venture. In this big family, communication barriers and conflicts among different cultures are ubiquitous. How to keep the advantages and features of local culture and absorb the essence of foreign cultures is the prerequisite to the survival of joint ventures; it is also the key to a successful transnational management of joint ventures.With ASIMCO Nanyue (Hengyang) Company Ltd.(abbreviated as ASIMCO Nanyue Company) as the research object, this paper focuses on the cultural conflict management in this enterprise. ASIMCO Nanyue Company is a transnational, interracial, trans-regional, and trans-regime joint enterprise. Cultural conflict arises inevitably in the course of cooperation with the Group Corporation and brings out various conflicts within the enterprise. As a result, the company's performance, strategy, ways to increase production, and staff's behavior are all influenced in some way. In this case, how does ASIMCO Nanyue Company properly understand the cultural difference between China and foreign countries in order to merge different cultures and avoid management conflict? And how does the company properly absorb, merge and extract the advanced management concepts and ways of foreign countries and transform them into the internal vitality? All these questions are the foci of this paper.Based on some field investigation and questionnaire investigation, this paper investigates and comments on the present situation of enterprise culture in ASIMCO Nanyue Company. In accordance with the investigation, the paper also analyzes the specific representation of this enterprise's cultural conflict, the reason of its occurrence and the subsequent negative influence. On the basis of theories about how to resolve enterprise culture conflict in Sino-foreign joint ventures, the paper compares, analyzes and makes a choice among different theoretical frameworks about resolving culture conflict and proves the necessity of the selection and merging pattern of enterprise cultures adopted by ASIMCO Group Corporation and ASIMCO Nanyue (Hengyang) Company Ltd. It also puts forward three ways to resolve the culture conflict in ASIMCO Nanyue Company, and gives some suggestion as far as the deficiencies in the enterprise's present culture construction are concerned.The key to resolve culture conflict in our country's Sino-foreign joint enterprises lies in the establishment of a shared culture, instead of choosing either of the cultures. The focus of the discussion should not lie in the differences between the two cultures but in the consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of keeping these differences in the long run. Therefore, the paper believes that the culture merging pattern is the most effective way to resolve conflicts and contradiction in the culture of our country's Sino-foreign joint ventures.
