Along with the rapid development of electronic information technology, E-Commerce is developing in a striking speed, and its influence on society life has extended from economic aspects to everywhere. The development of E-Commerce is profited from rapid development of globalization of economy, as well as increasingly maturity and wide application of Internet technology, and increasingly perfect of commerce automation, information-based enterprise management. At the same time, positive attitude of each government, organization, as well as enterprise also establishes a well basis for generation and development of E-Commerce.During the development of the economy globalization in the world today, how to overcome restriction of space and time has become one of key factors that determine whether the commerce activities succeed or lose. Therefore, the E-Commerce being developed based on Internet technology is increasingly displaying incomparable competitive advantages in today's high-speed development of digitization, network and information technology.Since appearance of international E-Commerce, i.e. application of E-Commerce in the area of international trade, new features have been appeared in the international trade, and its effect level on the development countries and the developing countries are also different.In this paper, concepts and characteristics of E-Commerce as well as international E-Commerce are introduced, and it is clearly indicated that the E-Commerce based on Internet technology and Information technology is definitely the trend of future development of trade in a background of economy globalization.At the same time, the theory of competitive advantage is introduced, and the effect of International E-Commerce on the international trade competitive advantage is analyzed. It is expounded that development of International E-Commerce makes information technology became a new important productive factor, therefore resulting in significant change of factor basis for the international trade competitive advantage, as well as its great function to establish cost advantage and difference advantage, and different effect on the international trade competitive advantage of the countries in different developing levels. On this basis, the development status of International E-Commerce in China and its effect on International trade competitive advantage are analyzed, and some main problems in development of International E-Commerce in China are found out, countermeasures and proposals are put forward as well.As a developing country, our country started to use E-Commerce late, the basis is still weak. Although great improvement has been achieved under efforts of government and enterprises together, the current status has been still unsatisfied comparing with developed countries in Europe and America, there are still lots of problems in each aspect. Therefore, how to rapidly improve international trade competitive advantages of our country in the background of E-Commerce is still a serious problem to be solved urgently.Purpose of this paper is to find out key problems that restrict the development of E-Commerce in our country through analysis of current development status of international E-Commerce by applying theory of competitive advantages, and carry out some beneficial thinking and study on countermeasures and proposals, so as to provide some reference to development of international E-Commerce in our country.
