Since the late 90's century, enterprises in our country made evident progress in taking part of e-commerce process, which strongly promote the information industry to become one of core parts of our national economy. Meanwhile, with the deep development of e-commerce, how to evaluate e-commerce enterprises has drawn people's attention. However, compared with the fasted development of e-commerce, the study of valuation theory and methods in this area is far from perfect. So far, there is no systematic introduction of valuation methods of e-commerce enterprises. So it is of vital importance to do some research on the question of evaluating e-commerce enterprises.This thesis is composed of six parts. In the first chapter, on the basis of summarizes and analyzes the current situation of valuation theory both in home and abroad, writer analyzed the necessity of this research and the structure of this thesis. Then writer emphasizes the value added by the transition for e-commerce of traditional enterprises, and summarizes the value source of e-commerce enterprises. Compared with the traditional enterprises, it is more difficult to evaluating the e-commerce enterprises. What's more, in this part, it puts forward the evaluating methods of e-commerce enterprises based on life cycle of enterprises. It suggested that we choose adaptive methods in relevant period. Because e-commerce enterprises are different from traditional enterprises in some characters, and each period of life cycle has respective value tropism. In the third part, it introduces traditional methods of evaluation, and analyses their advantages and disadvantages. Then in the following chapters, it further discusses the use of real options in valuation and carried out a practical study. At last, the writer made a summary of the whole article. We hope our work will do favors to the further research of valuation theory and methods of e-commerce enterprises.
