Owing to intense competence in domestic and international credit card market, traditional domestic credit card business model has gradually become the one based on customers, data and information,therefore,customer segmentation is the premise and foundation. At present, China's banks divided credit card customers basing on experience or simple statistical methods, but they are far behind meeting the requirement of complex business analysis.Along with the depth spread of data mining among the management of credit card, it is becoming important and urgent to focused customer segmentation by adopting various advanced data mining methods.This paper studies the object of a bank credit card customer segmentation model, which deals with a large number of credit card data in bank with data mining technology, a reasonable choice of customer segmentation method, a scientific customer segmentation model to help the bank design credit card products or services to improve customer satisfaction, maximize customer value, and establish a customer-centric marketing strategy.In this paper, the content of the study are as follows: Firstly, this paper puts forward the research background and significance, fixes the research objects and methods; Secondly, it summarizes the theory, methods and data mining technology tools for the theory foreshadowing of the study of credit card customers; Thirdly, with the status quo of credit card customers, it summarizes the main methods of customer segmentation and constructs data mining model based on the K-means clustering algorithm and the decision tree method, and through empirical data to study. Finally, it brings forward some new credit card personalizing marketing methods.This paper explores how the bank use data mining methods to achieve accurate and valid credit card customer segmentation, it provides the theory and method for data mining in the bank credit card customer segmentation.Under the customer-centric managerment of China's credit card business background, it has a good use to raise the competitiveness with information technology.
