Information Organization Of Traveling Culture Information Based On The Technology Of Topic Maps

Topic Maps,as defined in ISO/IEC 13250,are designed to solve the problem of large quantitities of unorganized information.In the Vast ocean of information,they play a role of knowledge positioning and information bridging.With the three fundamental elements—topics,assocition and accurrence,Topic Maps,which collect links to related resources and build connections from a particular topic to others,can help users navigate and explore within some specific information domain.The target of this dissertation is to facilitate different users to retrieve and acquire traveling culture information of Aba state. Through extracting topics, relations and resource orientation from information resources which are located diversely, classified into different study fields and related to human and nature traveling culture resources of Aba state, through relevant technology tools to organize topic elements and according to the specification of topic maps technology, this dissertation is to advance the localized knowledge organization system or the application configuration.Using the topic maps technology defined by ISO/IEC 13250 standard and XTM 1.0 specification, using network architecture of knowledge-level topic relations as kern, using scenic area in Aba state as main topics, the knowledge organization system of traveling culture information resources of Aba state forms topic relation network covering events, people, traveling resources, products, area and etc. This can benefit describing the features of traveling culture information resources of Aba state at the point of events, so accomplishing gathering information centered about events. And this is accord with the features of traveling industry, facilitating users' acquisition of traveling area and system information centered about scenic area.This dissertation is divided into seven parts. The first part introduces the study aim and motivation. The second part analyzes relevant literature of topic maps and discusses the connotation and application studies of topic maps. The third part advances the concept model of traveling culture information resources of Aba state. The fourth part analyzes the knowledge configuration, topic unit and relations of traveling culture information resources of Aba state, in order to discover the basic elements of knowledge system. The fifth part introduces the technology specification, which is XML syntactic configuration of topic map standard specification and takes traveling culture information resources of Aba state as an example. The sixth part presents the traveling culture knowledge organization system of Aba state through using the software Omnigator. The last part summarize this dissertation and give the available study trend in the future.
