As macroeconomic environment in China changing, the capital market has also undergone a tremendous change, and it is a far-reaching effect to the value of the power enterprises. Both external investors and internal managers have great interest in the value of power enterprises and increasingly are awareness the importance of the value assessment of generating enterprises. From the perspective of the company managers, this paper attempts to look for the reasonable value assessment methods for the power generation enterprises, and take the listed company—Datang Power Generation as an example to preliminary analysis the assessment the value of the generating business using free cash flow model, and to make constructive solutions and ideas to assess an enhance the value of the generating companies.
