As is well known , a sound and efficient financial system is very important to the stabilization and sustainable development of macro economy, while banking a driving force in the economic development. So many countries have great expectations to the banking supervision, the working effeciency and effectiveness of which will to a great degree depend on the integrity of the system. Amidst the increasing trend of global finance, fiercely competitive banking market, and a vast number of new financial instruments, products, rules constantly emerging, our banking supervision system is established but also faces serious challenges in a new environment.This paper examines and reflects on our banking regulation from the perspective of WTO financial practice, The New Basel Accord as well as Subprime Crisis, suggesting ways to promote a healthy banking development by improving and intensifying our banking regulation in accordance with the advanced management concepts ,rules and requirements from other countries.
