As information technology develops, the production and running patterns of information products have been changed a lot. Then, what's the difference between information products and traditional products? Continuing to use traditional economic theory makes many problems during the production, running and consumption because of the digitalized characteristics of complementary information products, especially in pricing. So how to fix a reasonable and effective price for the complementary information products makes a problem. Binding complementary information products or not is the two sides of a corn. Then from the aspect of economic, what will the case be? Is the monopolization caused by the binding of complementary information products the same as that of traditional economic theory? Contra posing the new phenomenon, what measures will be brought forward?…These problems are to be solved in this dissertation.Based on the above analysis, the dissertation first gives a general comment of the pricing of complementary information products, and then educes conclusions by listing model hypothesis, building model and analyzing three cases. We present a profit maximization model to obtain optimal strategies for a firm making decisions under information asymmetry. The model follows a simultaneously played Bertrand type game. Lastly, further economic analysis is discussed. There are two potential creations: first, discusses whether bundling pricing for complementary information products is the best decision by building and analyzing a symbolic model. Second, chooses information products to study complementary bundling pricing since their digitized characteristics.
