Along with the accelerating procedure of global economics, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in terms of flow and stock has been increasing simultaneously which has been the main form of international capital movement. Under the growing trend towards world economic integration, the linkages between regional economy and world one become closer than ever, as FDI plays a role in building bridges between them.Now the Yangtze Delta Region is the developing center of our country, and it is one of the best economic zones which has the largest market capacity and the best investment climate in our country. It had actually utilized 26.247 billion dollars of FDI in 2005, 41.3 accounting for the whole country's of this year. Along with the accelerating world economic integration, China's entry into WTO and the new economic running environment is taking shape gradually. So now the Yangtze Delta Region's crucial task is to fully excavate the potentiality of attracting FDI so as to attract FDI and to realize the continuously fast development of the ecomomy.With our country's joinning WTO , utilizing the foreign capitals actively is an important component of the economic development strategies of our country to develop open economy. Under such background, we must study the kind of relations between the FDI's large rise and fast growth of Yangtze Delta Regioneconomy and show the kind of mechanism which FDI affect this local industry restructure, the import-export trade and the local employment through. Simultaneously an area's economic development should pay more attention to a series of target weight ,for example: the essential scale of foreign capital and so on. Finally, it analyses the relation uniting the Yangtze Delta Region's the reality and proposed the suggestion in view of bringing in foreign direct capital in the article.
