Process Improvement On The Phone Antenna Test Based On 6σ

With the development of 6σcreated by Motorola in 1987, Motorola made great improvement on quality control, and perform 6σin each function. It is not only a way to improve the process, but also a strategy used for communication, training, leadership, evaluating result, and customer satisfaction, special for new products transferring, and new project implement.This paper presents an overview of GSM Product antenna test improvement on CMD55, as well as the benefit of this project, based on 6σ, and the way to collect data through Minitab. It made cost reduction, reducing maintain workload, improve efficiency, and reduce NTF DPHU, through modifying the fixture, creating a new diver of CMD55, changing the process control, and production capacity balance. At the mean while, almost all GSM products with antenna testing benchmarked this project, and did great improvement.
