The relations of economic growth and foreign trade has been an important research field of economics, Mercantile"trade is the only source of wealth", Robertson's"foreign trade is the engine of economic growth", Keynesian"foreign trade multiplier theory", and in recent years Romor and some experts'"international trade promote economic growth exposition"have made valuable theory.In 20th century the rapid development of econometrics provide a powerful tool and make economic scholars do more effective examination of relations of economic growth and foreign trade.Levels of economic development in china's various regions are very different , their development strategy and trade policy is also not the same.Heilongjiang Province,as an old industrial bases and a major agricultural province,With the reform and opening as well as the continuous deepening of the revitalization of the old industrial base keeps its national economy to develop rapidly.So,as far as Heilongjiang Province is concerned,what are the relations between foreign trade and economic growth?This paper uses the mathematics tool of Co-integration Theory and Granger-causality Examination to analyze the possible example about the relevant relation between the grouped data of Heilongjiang Province with analysis tool of EVIEWS(software package of metrology),then utilizes the methods of combination in qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,theoretical analysis and experimental analysis,data's illustration and graph's analysis.Through theoretical analysis and empirical research results, analyse the status and role of foreign trade in the economic growth,gives relevant policies and inspiration on the economic development of Heilongjiang Province as well as the significance of Heilongjiang Province short -term and long-term policy options.
