Since the 1920s, diversification has been the development model of most western developed countries' enterprises. With the arrival of the new economic era, enterprises are changing from the previous mode of administration-and experience-based, extensive management to the one of market-oriented, knowledgeable and intensive management because of economic, technological, social environment changes. In response to intense competitive environment, enterprises must consider how to effectively integrate its own resources, create a competitive advantage, and maintain and enhance market position. Objectively speaking, there exist the defects of scattered resources and difficult management of diversification. Therefore, when an enterprise can not sustain collaborative operational efficiency in different business areas, it must strip some obstacles to the development of the business. In this competitive market emphasizing on fine, accurate and fast products and service providing environment, most of the enterprises have adopted refocusing strategy to play the biggest advantage of the business.This thesis is the study of how enterprises advance return to core industry through compensation strategy. First, it systematically makes summary of theoretical research on strategic compensation, which is the foundation of the following chapters. Second, given refocusing strategy is implemented under the premise of diversification strategy, the research of which is more mature, it analyzes two different strategies on the organizational level management, human resources management and compensation management. Finally, it analyzes Vanke's refocusing practice to descript the reasonable and scientific value of this compensation strategy.Some dimensions of the compensation management based on refocusing strategy are not applicable to all the corporate practice of returning core business, but from the universal significance, it offers a number of decision-making ideas to the refocusing enterprises.
