An Economics Analysis Of The Government's Efficiency And Effectiveness Auditing

With the development of China's socialist market economy, continuous consummation of democratic political system, the public's demand for the government is higher than before with doubt of the government's effectiveness in some respects. The State Audit Bureau has initiated auditing for years, which has become a channel for the public to understand and supervise the government. The government has also realized the importance of audit. Audit has become a measure for the government to improve its effectiveness. The Department of State requires the government bureaus improve itself with regard to the problems inspected by the Audit Bureau, which has improved the government's efficiency and gained the public's trust. As such, it has become an urgent task to give play to the effectiveness of audit, make audit a connection between the government and the public and improve government efficiency and effectiveness audit. This article is comprised of 8 chapters as follows:The first chapter introduces the background of this study and the subject of this article, explaining the relevant concepts, clues, methodologies and innovations as well as deficiencies of this article.The second chapter expatiates on the general subjects of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing, discussing the connotation of the concepts, difference from violation auditing, the current objective and the subjects of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing.The third chapter introduces the development of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing in China and in the West.The fourth chapter analyses the agent relations in government efficiency and effectiveness auditing. While discussing the concepts of agent relations in detail, this chapter emphasizes that the agent relations is the source of development of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing, the hiberarchy of the agent relations of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing and the affiliation of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing.The fifth chapter discusses the impact of game theory on government efficiency and effectiveness auditing. Based on the analyses of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing with agent relations theory and game theory, the sixth chapter concludes that a public transparent system must be set up to boost the healthy development of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing.Chapter seven introduces the evaluation of efficiency and effectivenessauditing based on the theories above.Chapter eight summarizes and gives the prospect of government efficiency and effectiveness auditing development.
