| The problem of non-performing assets of commercial banks exists in many countries, governments, financial regulatory departments and asset management companies have carried out active exploration and unremitting efforts, China experts and scholars also made great efforts in this area, but most of them are against China's four major state-owned commercial banks, rarely in the system of bad assets management system of Joint-Stock commercial banks. Along with economic development, joint-stock commercial banks have the vigor and vitality which can not be ignored.As China's joint-stock commercial bank is an important component,5 of the 12 joint-stock commercial banks have been already listed, that the share of the banking market is growing. Although in recent years, China's joint-stock commercial banks in the management and operation and has been greatly improved, the balance and ratio of non-performing loans have certain declined, but the rate of bad loans declined slowly and the structure of non-performing loans are unreasonable. The degree of the centralization loans is relatively high, and the recovery rate of bad loans may also decline, while compared with foreign banks in China, there are still a large gap between them. Therefore, the author researched on the the problem of non-performing loans basing on the joint-stock commercial banks, as well as through the causes of experience from abroad, with a view to making some effective countermeasures.The author believed that, Compared with the state-owned commercial banks,joint-stock banks had no historical baggage and policy tasks and had the advantage of efficient, transparent and unfair operating.But because most of the joint-stock commercial banks started lately, unable to reave the market share and confront with the state-owned commercial banks in the capital scale, meanwhile they can not enjoy the same policy as state-owned commercial banks. Therefore in this study, the author not only used the related research on China's state-owned commercial banks bad assets for referencefrom, but also gave a detailed analysis of its particularity.Currently,the balance and ratio of non-performing assets of joint-stock commercial banks declined, but the absolute quantity were still great, and that the pace of declining is slow.What's more, the structure is irrational and the concentration of loans is high, and that the recovery status quo of the non-performing assets decreased.The author gave an in-depth analysis of the reasons for theose phenomenas from the theory and practical angle. The author considered it was mainly due to the imperfect public judicial person management structure,the constraints in joint-stock commercial banks operating capital, the problems of the loans management, the risks associated with the operating innovation and the failure in joint-stock commercial banks internal control system. The author analysed mainly how to solve the stock of non-performing assets and the control of incremental problems,and believe that we should always focus on the perspective of the market, aim at the state of bad assets use integratedly the asset securitization, asset stripping and attract foreign investment bank shares management methods to dispose of them. And we should operate against opearation risk and additional credit risk to control bad loans, make loan procedures standardize and prevent loans of related enterprises and we also should strengthen the management of credit risk.In the last,the paper gave several opinions in the establishment of external environment to improve the management of non-performing assets.The first part introduces the research background, the status quo of research and the significance.The author believed that under the current competition and challenges, the study in China's joint-stock commercial banks non-performing assets management studies was significant.The second part was the analysis of non-performing assets status quo in the joint-stock commercial banks. The author introduced joint-stock banks, and the concept of non-performing assets classification.This was followed by a description of the joint-stock commercial banks in China to set up and development, and some problems faced in the management.The third part give an analysis on the causes of China's joint-stock commercial banks non-performing assets from two angles:theory and practice. It was mainly for the following reasons: (1) imperfect in joint-stock commercial corporate management structure; (2) constraints in joint-stock commercial banks operating capital; (3) problems in management of loans; (4) operating risks brought about by innovation; (5) failure in joint-stock commercial banks internal control system.The fourth part mainly analysed the model of dispose of non-performing assets in foreign small and medium-sized commercial banks.The author considered one of the important tasks in t the management of non-performing assets is how to dispose of non-performing assets. Therefore,this chapter mainly studied the small model of non-performing assets disposal in medium-sized banks abroad and illustrated with cases.The fifth part gave some suggestions on perfecting China's joint-stock commercial banks non-performing assets management. The author concepted from the two major ideas of the stock and increment of non-performing assets. The author proposed that we should dispose the non-performing basing on the non-performing assets status with comprehensive use of various models. Finally, mainly from the policy environment, the credit environment, the extent of supervision, as well as deepen enterprise reform to explore the management of non-performing assets improved external environment, which is conducive to China's shares system management of non-performing assets of commercial banks. |
