Research On Sustainable Development Strategy Of Kailuan Group

Kailuan (group) limited liability corporation which is a large- scale state-owned coal-mine enterprise originated from Kailuan coal mining bureau has 130 years history. Nowadays, sustainable development has been evaluated as an urgent problem because of the decrease of the reserved coal source. This thesis aims as studying on the strategy for Kailuan group to develop with relative theory, which will provide the basis for sustainable development to take the opportunity, enhance strong points and avoid weaknesses.This thesis systemically researches on the sustainable development strategy of this corporation. Based on the present situation of China's coal industry, Kailuan (group) limited liability corporation and the theory of the enterprise development strategy, the necessity of this thesis and its basic ideas was proposed. From the social and economic environment, coal industry environment and the competitive position, a systematic and overall analysis was made. Opportunities for sustainable development of the enterprise and threats that should be avoided was find out. Resource, transportation, management, HR and technology of this corporation was thoroughly analyzed. The strengths and weakness for sustainable development of the enterprise was point out. Using the methods of EFE matrix, IFE matrix, SWOT matrix, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats existing in the critical internal and external factors for the sustainable development were matched and evaluated. Five alternate strategies that this corporation can adopt for sustainable development were put forward, which are new product development strategy, open market strategy, increasing clean coal yield by technical renovation, market penetration strategy and product upgrading strategy.Based on the discussion,"based on coal, developing other profession"was proposed for sustainable development of this corporation. The enterprise development pattern during the period of"11th Five-Year Plan"and"12th Five-Year Plan"was expected. Implementation countermeasures for sustainable development of Kailuan group was promoted in the following five aspects -- perfecting enterprise system and norms, cultivating core competitive ability of Kailuan group, recreating culture in Kailuan group, entering the construction of local economy and developing diversified economy, forming expansion of resource and constructing enterprise alliance.
