The purpose of the article is to study on how to preserving and developing the brand of the YangChenghu crab, which is one of the Application of Origins in Suzhou. First, the author introduces the basic theory about the Application of Origin, the brand developing strategy, the strategy to preserving and developing the brand of Application of Origin, and the present situation both inside and outside on which the research is based. Second, the author introduces the present situation of the YangChenghu crab, linking up with the recent incidents, uncover the bad effects profoundly. Third, the author unearths the factors that led to the brand of the YangChenghu crab's crisis to find ways to resoling the problem. Of course, the factors are complicated. Then, considering the factors and the characteristics of the YangChenghu crab, the author propounds some methods to preserving and developing the brand of the YangChenghu crab.
