In recent years, as one important colony of enterprises, the operational performance evaluation of listed company becomes the issue in the research field of performance evaluation in China. The reason is that, on one hand the securities market is an important component in China's market economic system, so the sustainable development of holding companies has an increasingly impact on China's socio-economic activities; On the other hand, when investors invest in securities ,they valued the basic operating performance of the holding company, and the conception of "invest on values" enjoys more and more popular support.As the development of capital market, the listed companies in coal mining industry have gradually increased. The comprehensive analysis of the listed company's operational performance is an effective way to help enterprises and government to make accurate judgment, and help the vast number of investors to increase the investment income and reduce the risk of loss.Based on the above, the essay takes the listed companies in coal mining industry for the research object, and make analysis and comprehensive evaluation of the operational performance, to promote the operational performance, strength the competence ,and get the sustainable development.Specifically, the full text is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction. It mainly reviews the main methods of operational performance evaluation of the domestic and international listed companies, and then points out the goal, significance, content and method of the study. The second part is theoretical research. The paper presents that the content of listed company's operational performance evaluation includes financial and non-financial evaluation, and points out the deficiencies of the current methods of operational performance evaluation. Based on this, we propose the factor analysis. The third part is to evaluate the listed company's performance in coal mining industry from the financial and non-financial aspects. We make empiric analysis to evaluate the 20 listed companies' performance with the factor analysis, trying to come to performance rankings. According to the rankings of the third part, the fourth part chooses the typical listed company, and makes financial and non-financial analysis about it. We hope to find out its successes and the problems to give reference to people involved.This article comprehensively and systematically analyzes the theoretical issues the operating performance evaluation of listed companies, and a more comprehensive method that can systematically reflect the operating performance of listed companies, to hope to give some advice about improving operating performance and forming competitive edge to the vast listed companies. The paper includes some innovative contents. Firstly, the paper establishes a financial index system of evaluation, introducing the non-financial indexes of corporate social responsibility, trustworthiness, product quality, innovation and leadership team. Secondly, it overcomes the shortcomings of subjectively giving weights and establishes a more objective evaluation of the operating performance. Thirdly, by using the system evaluation, the paper makes a rank to the listed companies in coal mining industry, and gives some analysis about the non-financial indexes in this industry.
