A Research On The National Information Security And Countermeasures In The Network Age

With the development of information technology, computer and internet quickly permeate every corner of people's life and each level of the living of people, and have been affecting the life and work of people unconsciously. In other words, the Internet era has not only changed people's lifestyle, but also had a strong impact upon people's culture, politics and believes and forming new unstable factors in accelerating the economic development.There are two sides to every question, and internet is no exception. When people are focusing on the conveniences and benefits with which the internet brings, they tend to neglect the corresponding risks and threads.This is just what this thesis is elaborate on and it's consisted of three chapters:Chapter One briefly states information security's basic concept, main content and characteristics, as well as its strategic significance. The development of informationization has brought with the heated confrontation in national information at the level of national interests, and the national information security problems become increasingly obvious. The traditional information security emphasizes the integrity, availability and confidentiality of the information, and during the practice in the internet, it also puts forward the reliability and controllability of the information gradually. It's meant to emphasize on preventing the information system and information resources from being destroyed, changed, leaked and abused out of natural or artificial factors and destruction. Information security at the era of internet is involved in the field of politics, economy, military, culture, science and technology, resource and ecological, etc. The threat of information security is in the nature of its high intelligence, uncertainty in threat source, asymmetry in attack and defense, extensive coverage of threat, seriousness in danger, etc. Before the threat, the internet gives the expression to its high vulnerability and huge riskiness, posing a great threat to the subject of national security, so we must attach great importance to the national information security.Chapter Two conducts an in-depth analysis on the threat incurred by the national security and main factors in its informationization at the internet era. The main threats are embodied in the followings: Information security has become a significant factor in maintaining the national political security, and the national image become more vulnerable to any attack and distortion, and the maintenance of national sovereignty becomes more difficult; information security is the important prerequisite for economic security, while internet economy crimes has become the recurring illness of economic security, so the security challenge suffered by the financial industry becomes more serious; the influence of information security upon cultural security cannot be ignored and the internet culture poses a threat to the inheriting and developing of the traditional culture of China,having a strong impact upon the formation of socialist values and moral rules. The threat posed by information security upon military security becomes more obvious, and the army at the information era is confronted with both the defense line of visible national territory and the guard for the invisible information territory. The main factors that threat the national information security includes: the insecurity of internet caused by the inherent defect of information technology, the insecurity intensified by the struggle of ideologies and conflict of national, the disorder of internet safety caused by the subjective and objective behavior factors, and the threat posed by the environmental factors on information security.Chapter Three discusses the main problems and coping strategy confronted by the Security Protection of our national information security. There is still a huge gap between of the national information's Security Protection of our country and that of the developed countries, and main problems lie in the following: the insufficiency of the nation's knowledge of the information security strategy, the backwardness of people's consciousness of public information safety, the serious dependence upon the foreign nations in basic information technology, the incompleteness of policies and rules in information on foreign policy seriously incomplete rules, the yet-to-be innovated concept of information security protection, etc.To solve these problems, this thesis proposes the following countermeasure to strengthen our national information security protection: to explore the information security system consistent with China's national conditions, improve the information security consciousness of the whole society, attach great importance to training and use of professional talents in information security, accelerate infrastructure construction of information security, strengthen the supervision of the information system, implement the safe concept of " proactive defense", consummate our law system of national information security protection, strengthen the international cooperation and exchanges, and upgrade our country's position and the right to speak in the field of international information security in the status, etc.
