In the resent years, with the rapid development of non-profit organizations in China, more and more enterprises have chosen to donate the non-profit organizations. Enterprise donate the non-profit organizations not only meet the need of non-profit organizations in fund, but also provide a way to raise their competitiveness in economic globalization. This study will explore the donation motivation of enterprises in China, and find the key factor which impact enterprise make decision.At first, this paper will review the theory of competitive advantage, the theory of politically motivation, the theory of corporate reputation, the theory of corporate social responsibility, the theory of management effectiveness, the theory of tax incentives. Paper will find the main donation motivation in enterprise donate non-profit organizations and explore the relation between the motivation and behavior of enterprise donates non-profit organizations. Study model is built and relates hypotheses are proposed based on former related studies. Questionnaire is designed to classify the motivations of enterprise and to examine their relations to behavior. 103 effective questionnaires are called back and the analysis result confirms the study model.The motivations of enterprise donate non-profit organizations could be divided in two categories: The first category includes the factors of improve productivity, stimulate demand, improve competitiveness, support interrelated industry, rent-seeking and improve reputation. The second category includes the motivation of social responsibility, the motivation to enhance management effectiveness and access to incentives tax. In the process of enterprise donate non-profit organizations, the motivation of donation are in close relation to donation behavior. Improve competitiveness, rent-seeking and corporate social responsibility are the main factors influencing the degree of donation. Rent-seeking is the main factors influencing the amount of donation. The motivations to enhance management effectiveness, social responsibility and gain preferential tax are the main factors influencing donation level. This study can provide some useful advice for the enterprise which will donate non-profit organizations.
