Team is now the basic unit of working and study in enterprises. In recent years one of the important research issues is how team composition affects team dynamics and performance. In the past, most of researches focused on the visible variable characteristics, such as demographic variable, until recently there are a few researches discuss on the implicit cognitive variables. Based on"Input-process-Output"model as the basic research framework, which is recently popular used on team topic discussions, we explored the potential impacts of team personality traits composition on team knowledge sharing and team effectiveness.How to effectively tap the knowledge of each team members to realize personal knowledge's sharing and internal communication, so as to promote the innovation level and learning speed is the key for improving enterprise's core competitiveness, is the important aspect for team interpersonal process, and is also a key factor for enhancing the team effectiveness. Present research primarily focused on the knowledge sharing organization atmosphere, management means, management mechanisms, and the support system and technical for information and communication, but few on the relationship between team personality composition and team knowledge sharing. Based on"Big Five", we explored the potential impacts of team member's personality composition on team knowledge sharing and team effectiveness.Using description for data analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis, we analyzed data from 37 teams consisted by college students. The results show that: personality trait composition indeed affects team knowledge sharing and team effectiveness.In the team personality elevation, except for the conscientiousness, other stability, extraversion, openness, and agreeableness elevation show an positive prediction on team knowledge sharing. In team personality diversity aspect, only the extraversion diversity shows a significant positive correlation with team knowledge sharing, but the conscientiousness diversity shows a significant negative correlation with it. The team stability elevation, extraversion diversity, and the openness elevation show an positive prediction to team effectiveness, but conscientiousness diversity shows a negative correlation with it. Moreover, the extraversion and agreeableness elevation show an positive correlation with cooperation satisfaction, but agreeableness diversity shows opposite.Team knowledge sharing plays an intermediary role in stability elevation, openness elevation, extraversion diversity, conscientiousness diversity for team effectiveness. In addition, team knowledge sharing is a mediator between extraversion diversity, agreeableness elevation and team cooperation satisfaction.
